How do I create a new folder on limewire?
Q. I can't use limewire on my mac so my brother said he'd let me use his, but I don't know how to make a new folder for all my music. When I do the whole "File > Add New Folder" thing, nothing happens.

A. Limewire is illegal if you are using it to download music from. Use www.mp3obsession.com for legal music downloads instead.

How do you move photos to a new folder on ZumoDrive?
Q. I got an account on ZumoDrive so I can store some of my files that I want to access from multiple locations, and I wanted to organize the photos into different folders within the 'Pictures' folder, but I added a couple new folders, and now I can't figure out how to move the photos into those folders. Can someone please explain to me how to do this? I feel like it should be easy, but for some reason I just can't figure it out.
Asked by junipar - Wed Jul 14 21:37:25 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Download the ZumoDrive client on your computer. You'll see a Z:\ drive in My Computer (ZumoDrive on desktop in Macs) and you can move your files around just like you do with your computer's hard drive.

What is the easiest way to move my favorite photos to a new folder?
Q. I would like to get a viewer that would let me "star" or select my favorite photos so that they could be all saved to a new folder. Pisca does this but I hate that Pisca creates a duplicate copy. I could do this in windows but there has got to be an easier way!

How do i find the new folder i made yesterday?
Q. I was at my son's house went on line to my e-mail friend sent me a flyer she wanted me to print so i put it in a new folder, im home now but cant find the folder. Please help. Thank You lynniebug11
Asked by Linda N - Mon Apr 26 14:25:37 2010 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Is it possible you were logged into your son's account at the time? If so, that's where the folder is. If not, then the folder should be listed on the left hand side - it might be listed under another folder. Go into each of your folders and see if it is "under" one of them.

Is there another way to move a new folder in Favorites from the bottom to the top other than click n drag?
Q. Internet Explorer Browser's method of filing folders is called Favorites. As the folder list grows it becomes bothersome to keep moving new folders into alpha order by click n drag, esp if they're at or near the beginning of the alphabet. It seems to be there lmust be a better way, like a key stroke?

A. So you did this and it didn't work? >> Click in the box to the left of the message. A check-mark appears! If you want to move more than one message, check more boxes beside the other messages. Now, click Move it s the button furthest to the right above your list of messages. Inside the Move pull-down menu, click the folder where you want to put your message. Zing! you re all finished. Note: You can t put messages into your Sent or Draft folders, because messages in those folders are stored differently than in other folders. You can, however, move messages out of those folders. And finally, to put a message in the Trash, just check the box to the left of the message and click Delete. << Did you try and refresh your window (press "F5")?… [cont.]

A. That's only 'easy' if you are using Outlook or Outlook Express. I've only used one way. That's to open each message and then save it to ... wherever you want it.

How do you move podcasts to a new folder without the Yahoo Music player refusing to play your podcasts?
Q. Moved the My Documents folder to a different drive--this contains the My Yahoo Music folder. I updated all the preferences for folders in the Yahoo Music player to reflect this. My podcasts all show up in the viewer, but when I try to play them I get an error. If I download new podcast mp3's they work fine, but the old podcast mp3's give an error. Also my old music that I bought on Yahoo doesn't work either. Basically both podcasts and downloaded paid-for-music seem to have the original download location drive associated with them which seems like changing the default folder they are downloaded to should fix but it doesn't. I'm thinking there is some xml file or registry entry I should be able to change to fix this, but I haven't been… [cont.]

A. I don't think the beta of the Podcasts plugin can handle changing folders -- but you CAN re-add the downloaded podcasts to your "My Music" and listen to the older podcasts from there. That's what I have done. I like having everything in one place (My Music) anyway...

Help: Whenever I click a drive in My Computer it opens in a new folder?
Q. OK. I have four drive partitions on my hard drive, when I open My Computer and click say D:\ it opens in a new window, I tried to change those settings from Tools Menu, Folder Options, General Tab and Open each folder in the same window but it still opens in new windows. Only the Drives open in new windows, other folders open fine. Please help me. Thanks. I hope you understand the question.
Asked by X L M T D - Fri Sep 5 06:40:01 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Are you browsing the folders using Explorer? This might be the cause of it. When you double click a drive while using Explorer it will occasionally open the drive in a new window. 4 partitions shouldn't be the issue here, I have no problems and I'm running more than 4 partitions on one drive. I don't know how comfortable you are with the computer but there is a registry tweak that might help you. CAUTION: Do not edit the registry if you are unsure what you are doing. It is very possible to mess up your computer if you change the wrong entry. Also this only works in Windows XP, and judging from your question it seems like that might be the Operating System you are using. 1. Start-->Run-->Regedit 2. Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directo ry\Sh [cont.]

Is it possible to make a folder read-only as well as all new folders dragged into it?
Q. I want to set a folder read only, as well as every new folder i make in it. is this possible? instead of right clicking and setting all folders to read-only every time.. ?
Asked by FoolishFool - Fri Nov 7 19:18:37 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Yes. Right click the folder and on the bottom, tick the read-only option. Windows will ask you if you want this to be the setting for all files already there as well. When you make a new file in the folder, it too should be read-only. However, it is my experience that read-only has no real effect on folders as it doesn't prevent "writing" to the folder (saving a new file would be writing). This kind of defeats the purpose of read-only.
